Howard University has been on a role as of late with picking up players in the late signing period. Already they have picked up 6'0 Tyreak Johnson from Bronx (St. Raymond's) NY. And, if that weren't enough, Howard also has 6'6 Gary Lawrence from Philadelphia (Chestnut Hill Academy) PA, 6'7 Mike Phillips from Fredericksburg (Riverbend) VA, 6'8 Charles Decosta from Cherry Hill (Living Faith Christian) NJ, and 6'8 Robbie Johnson from Edison (H.S.) NJ. This past week Howard added another New York guard to the fold by signing 6'1 Anton Dickerson from Brooklyn (Boys & Girls) NY. Dickerson is a great shooter and should complement Johnson to give Howard a nice backcourt. Howard is establishing a very good pipeline to New York, most of the credit for this can be given to assistant Matt Collier. Howard is looking to improve off a season where they were 8-23, these freshmen might be called on to make a immediate impact.
